Look for your favorite craft brew, wine, or spirits at four different locations in the park. Be prepared to show your ID with each pour and roam the event with drink in hand. Alcoholic beverages use the same tokens as the BBQ samples. Get a taste or a full glass for 1 to 3 tokens. Must be 21+ to purchase or consume alcohol.
Saturday June 27 - Ribs & Wings Competition

This is a new ancillary competition this year hosted by the Rib Cook Off Association (RCOA). Anyone can register to compete using the link below. If you want to taste the ribs or wings that teams cook for competition, be sure to be around after each turn in. That's when the teams will be sampling whatever is left from their turn in boxes. Please be patient just before 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM while teams are concentrating on turning in their boxes on time.
Winners will be announced between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM

Collect stamps from participating BBQ teams through the park. No purchase necessary.
On the back of the BINGO card vote for your favorite team and fill out our brief survey.
Turn in your BINGO card for raffle tickets and your chance to win a guided fishing trip for two from Chrome City Guides and an overnight stay at McMenamins Kalama Harbor Lodge. Get at least one regular bingo and get one free raffle ticket. Get a blackout bingo and get five free raffle tickets. You cannot buy raffle tickets for this raffle prize.

Most teams should have samples until 4:00 pm.
After that, teams on the lawn will have food until 8:00 PM available for 1 to 3 tokens.
Samples are from 2 oz - 4 oz
The same tokens will be used for alcohol beverages (take your drinks all throughout the park!)
Non-BBQ snacks in the vendor market do not accept tokens.
Sunday June 28 - BBQ Sampling & Competition

2:00 PM - Brisket Turn In
Sunday is competition day. This means you'll have an opportunity to taste what the judges taste if you're around just after turn in times. Many teams will have other items for you to sample, but they are likely to run out or be done sampling by 3:00 PM. Don't worry though, we will have a designated tent on the lawn where you can sample items that the team's cooked earlier in the day so you can still eat BBQ until 5:00 PM. Please be patient and respectful while teams are concentrating on turning in their boxes on time. Awards ceremony will be on the stage around 5 PM. Will your favorite team be crowned Grand Champion?

There is something for everyone at Big Smoke, including the kiddos! Visit the kid's activities hosted by regional Boy Scout Troops. Kids can build and race their own paper boats, participate in craft projects, and learn what being a boy scout is all about.
